Job Description

If you’re wanting to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond as a Quantity Surveyor in the housebuild industry then it’s fair to say the business I’m recruiting for can offer you just that – this business can offer you a simple chain of command, a relaxed non-PLC environment and the chance to take on brand new sites over the coming months.  And this isn’t just hearsay….

The last two guys I placed here as Quantity Surveyors have risen up the ranks to Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager level (after 2 and 5 years) and they’ve done it within a family business who go quietly about their work with none of the ‘in-your-face’ approach you get at some builders.  Looking to supplement this young Commercial team with a new Quantity Surveyor, ideally someone with around 4-5 years experience (at least one year as a full Q.S), they are a close-knit team but growing business who will offer you the chance to grow with them.

There's no ego's here and the culture is one of placing responsibility, not blame, on the personnel within the business.  The need for a new Q.S. has come about to take the burden off the Commercial Manager and although they’d want you to hit the ground running with 2-3 sites they’ll still add support and training where needed.

Offering a package of up to early £50,000’s plus car allowance (plus maybe a little more for the right pesron), pension, a company-wide bonus and a general really great place to work (from my feedback on over 15 placements in the last 5 years) if you want a place realise your potential or if you’ve been stuck in a grinding machine elsewhere I’d say this is the place to be.

I have worked with this company for several years and the biggest compliment I can give them is that employees don’t tend to move on from this business – they must be doing something right.
