Business Development Manager

Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool

£45,000 + £10,000 OTE

This business is looking to add a Business Development Manager in an existing territory that has a turnover of 1Million.  The role would be responsible for 60% Account Management and 40% New Business.

You will have a defined territory which includes Blackburn, Preston and Blackpool. The role is remote, and field based.

Ideally you will be from a Technical/Engineering background.

As a business Development Manager your duties will include:

  • Managing Key Accounts in a defined territory
  • Developing New Business Opportunities
  • Planning workload effectively to ensure customer satisfaction is obtained.
  • Working towards the budget set by the business
  • Reporting KPI’s to management and updating the CRM system to achieve a clear record.
  • Tendering for business opportunities to company price guidelines
  • Using your consultative selling experience to obtain information and make suggestions for customers.
  • Attend business meeting to discuss opportunities and resources required.
  • Communicate with internal departments for customer order fulfilments.
  • Update customers on orders and manage the relationship to obtain repeat business opportunities.
  • Identify upselling opportunities and cross selling.
