Job Description
Step Teachers are seeking a Music Teacher to support across all year groups for a mainstream school in Enfield. This role is offered 3 days a week starting in September 2024.
Your duties as a Music Teacher:
- To pitch Music lessons at an age-appropriate level
- Ability to adapt lessons and approaches depending on the individual child/ whole class ability
- To identify and report on the children's progress and any further areas of development
- To work closely with the families to best support the students
- Putting together additional resources needed to help the students access the learning, with the aid of the class teacher
- Working closely with the Class Teacher to best support the students
To be considered for the position of Music Teacher, you will:
- Hold QTS or the equivalent is highly desirable
- Hold a relevant Music qualification or extensive, referenceable experience teaching Music
- Have experience working with students with special educational needs
- Be patient and empathetic, with a strong ability to build rapport with students
- Knowledge of effective teaching and behaviour management strategies
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
