PSV Technician / PSV Mechanic

Salary: £26.50 Nights

Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7 Sunday to Saturday with shift times being 17:30-02:00

We are currently seeking a dedicated PSV Technician / Mechanic to perform essential maintenance and repairs on buses. This PSV Technician role is vital for ensuring vehicle reliability and compliance with safety standards.

  • Time plus ½ for additional hours worked over the standard working week of 40 hrs

Responsibilities:

  • As a PSV Technician, conduct routine maintenance and repairs in line with VOSA standards.
  • The PSV Technician will perform diagnostics for mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Record faults, and the work done to fix them, using a tablet.
  • Follow safety instructions and reporting any issues.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and inventory, a responsibility of the PSV Technician.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the PSV Technician field, with comprehensive vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety standards, essential for a PSV Technician.
  • Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 2/3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation) qualification
  • A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
  • Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
