SiteServices Operator Scunthorpe Our client is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean working environment at their Food Manufacturing site. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Facilities Operator to join their team in Scunthorpe. Job Summary The Site Services Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our clients site facilities. This includes greasing pumps, monitoring tank levels, cleaning equipment, and performing routine checks on various systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities of Site Services Operator
- Grease 10 pumps in the mass unit once daily.
- Ensure the defoam pump is operational.
- Change the tub on the old effluent screen twice daily.
- Clean the effluent screen twice daily.
- Monitor old tank levels at random intervals throughout the day.
- Clean the concrete pad as needed.
- Drop and dispose of 2 IBCs from the lamella into the waste trailer daily using Forklift Truck.
- Inspect and clean both pumps in the V-notch, ensuring they are not blocked with leaves.
- Clean up any spills around the mass unit and effluent areas.
- Order supplies when needed.
- Monitor and perform daily checks on chillers, glycol tank levels, air compressors, chiller compressors, and boilers.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PPM) as required.
- Work from job cards and assist in engineering tasks when needed.
- Conduct weekly checks on salt units.
- Conduct contractor inductions, oversee contractors, and act as the point of contact.
Skills and Experience required for Site Services Operator
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, handyman, caretaker, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a team player mentality.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is advantageous.
- Basic Understanding of pumps and plumbing is advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
- Fork Lift Counterbalance Licence essential
- Scissor lift desirable
