Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for education? Step Teachers are seeking a dedicated Cover Manager to join a dynamic team at a secondary school in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school on a day-to-day basis. The suitable candidate will also cover some lessons and whole school duties.
Cover Manager - Key Responsibilities:
• Daily Cover Management: Organise and coordinate cover for absent teachers, ensuring all classes are effectively supervised.
• Staff Liaison: Communicate with teaching and support staff to ensure cover arrangements are clear and efficient.
• Agency Coordination: Work with external supply agencies to source high-quality cover teachers when necessary.
• Timetable Management: Assist in the maintenance and adjustment of timetables to accommodate changes in staffing.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the school’s leadership team as needed.
Cover Manager - Key Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with school management software is an advantage.
