Job Description
Currently, Step Teachers are looking for a committed and passionate Supply Teacher to take on supply work in Greenwich. In the role of Supply Teacher, you will have a crucial part in maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring the continuity of education for students when their regular teachers are absent. The school is committed to providing a supportive environment for students to excel and believes in offering second chances. The candidate who is successful will begin in September 2024.
Role of a Supply Teacher:
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans effectively to facilitate student learning.
- Maintaining classroom discipline and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Providing constructive feedback to regular teaching staff on students' progress.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
Requirements of a Supply Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Supply Teacher, or a Classroom Teacher.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools and year groups.
- Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo checks.
