Cluster Director of Sales

JWR is currently working with a leading hotel group, looking to recruit an experienced and driven Director of Sales to join their team to drive and significantly increase revenues across all departments of two newly opened hotels in a popular Devon, Seaside location.
This is an exciting and challenging role, whereby you will play a key part in maximising all sales opportunities across the two properties with a combined bedroom count of nearly 300 rooms + M&E spaces.

As Director of Sales, you will have experience in the hospitality & leisure market, ideally from a branded hotel background from a minimum 4-star quality along with good knowledge of the local area and market.

As an experienced Director of Sales Manager, you will be a good strategist and planner and will build on and develop the hotels existing network, engaging with new and prospective clients, directing the sales activities to ensure that the hotels objectives are achieved.
You will oversee the sales team, whilst reporting to the Cluster GM & Regional Sales Director.

Job requirements

  • Assist with maximising total revenue from all income streams - specifically accommodation, , Food & Beverage and M&E.
  • Continue to build brand and reputation throughout Devon and the UK
  • Grow the hotel's business in the local market for accommodation, restaurants and conference and events.
  • Experience of B2B sales with proven results, managing, maintaining, and continuing to develop existing corporate accounts.
  • Proactive and flexible individual with the ability to Identify opportunities for new business.
  • Strong networking skills, regularly attending relevant local networking events with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Attend trade shows & exhibitions as required.
  • Work well with all departments within the hotel to ensure the highest guest experience is always delivered.
  • Lead the creation of each year's Sales activity.
  • Develop sales strategies to continue to raise awareness, attract new audiences and further develop the hotel, spa & leisure facilities, F&B and C&E
  • Be pro-active, continuously looking for ways to further develop the hotel offering.
