Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE
Location: Manchester
Sector: Structural Steel

Are you an experience Quantity Surveyor with a background in structural steel projects?
Or are you someone with 3 years experience in Quantity Surveying who would like to start their career in structural steel?
Would you like to work for one of the largest steel fabricators in the UK?

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced structural steel Quantity Surveyor or someone with 3 years experience post degree to join one of the largest structural steel fabricators in the UK. Your experience working with both JCT & NEC forms of contract will be essential, as you will be responsible for ensuring that profitability is maximised but without compromising long term relationships with clients.

We would welcome conversations with Quantity Surveyors who:

  • Have experience working with both JCT & NEC forms of contract
  • Can demonstrate a background in structural steel projects - desirable not essential
  • Are able to build & maintain working relationships with clients & different stakeholders
  • Hold experience in final accounts
  • Can produce CVR's to a high standard
  • Hold a degree within quantity surveying - desirable not essential
  • Are willing to travel to sites when required

As a quantity surveyor your duties will include:

  • Preparation of project budgets
  • Manage sub contractor & supplier applications & variations
  • Chair progress meetings with site teams
  • Preparing final accounts
  • Ensuring profitability is maximised
