Step Teachers are looking for a Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school located just south of Southwold and North of Ipswich. 

Job Description:

The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5/6 Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, starting in September. This role is for two days a week (Thursdays and Fridays) and involves working closely with a Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a diverse class, including students with Dyslexia and Hypermobility.

Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 5/6 students.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports the needs of all students, including those with Dyslexia and Hypermobility.
  • Work collaboratively with the TA to ensure effective support for all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and development.
  • Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Primary Teacher teaching KS2 in Mainstream School
  • Understanding and experience of working with children with Dyslexia and Hypermobility.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of our school.
