We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Science Teacher to join our dedicated school in Plymouth from September 2024 - this role has the potential to lead to permanent employment. 

The school is located within the UK's Ocean City of Plymouth and in their latest Ofsted report, graded them as “Good”. The school itself was praised for the strong improvements in their GCSEs, particularly in English and Science. Students are well-behaved in lessons and have a positive attitude towards their learning.  

Key Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective science lessons
  • Foster a positive and interactive learning environment
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive science curriculum
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic potential

Requirements for a Science Teacher:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Science Teacher
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
