Senior Designer
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Designer to join a leading Construction and Engineering company on a long term contract basis. This role is Hybrid with an Outside of Scope Of IR35 pending determination.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and production of alignment sheets, strip maps, and other essential design documents for pipeline projects using GIS and CAD software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce alignment sheets, strip maps, and other design documents for pipeline projects using GIS and CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure design accuracy.
- Ensure all design documents meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of design documents.
- Utilize GIS data to create detailed maps and alignment sheets, integrating various data sources and formats.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of pipeline engineering principles and design standards.
- Advanced proficiency in GIS and CAD software.
