ROLE: Conference & Events Sales Executive
LOCATION: Solihull
SALARY: £30,000 per year

I am delighted to be working with a successful Conference venue in the Birmingham area that is currently recruiting for experienced Conference & Events Sales Executive to be part of a friendly and welcoming Sales team.

The Conference & Events Sales Executive will be based at an established Conference venue that provides a variety of conferences, weddings & social events for over 600 people throughout the year in the West Midlands region.

This role would suit an experienced Conference & Events Sales Executive/Coordinator or Events Planner who is looking to develop their career.
You will be responsible for handling and managing incoming enquiries for a variety of events such as: Conference, Banqueting, Corporate Group and Private Special Events to maximise C&B revenue and profit through commercial meeting room management.

This role will also involve working with the event organisers to check meeting room availability, obtaining dates and number of delegates, creating the proposal form, the itinerary of the event, creating a function sheet to be completed and confirmed before passing to the event operations team.

Your main priority is to handle all incoming enquiries to maximise sales and convert as many existing enquiries and tentative bookings as possible through to and including the contracted stage.

To ensure exceptional guest service is delivered and to maximise selling opportunities by adding customer value at every opportunity.

Essential Skills:
* Proven experience of handling enquiries at a large conference venue or conference Hotel.
* Used to handling a high volume of enquiries and dealing with these in a timely and professional manner and be able to work the hours to suit the business.
* Have excellent customer service skills to build good relationships with your customers and promote repeat bookings.
