Step Teachers are looking for a Science Teacher for a part-time long-term supply role to work Mondays and Tuesdays in a school located near the River Ant between Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

The school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school that has been praised for its strong and stable leadership. The school is well supported by the trust and along with the senior leaders, has high aspirations for the pupils. The school leaders have raised expectations for pupils’ behaviour, and this has resulted in good conduct in both lessons and around the school. 

  • Key Responsibilities of Science  Teacher:
  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that cater to the needs of all learners.

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing feedback that fosters growth and improvement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and dynamic Science department.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience for all students.

Requirements to be a Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Science.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new teaching strategies.
