Job Description

As a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, Step Teachers have long standing relationships with schools and academy trusts across the county and we are looking for an EYFS Teacher in Welwyn Garden City. The role is at a Primary School who are looking for an EYFS Teacher in their Nursery. The role starts in September 2024 and is an ongoing supply role. 

This is a Primary School that places kindness and respect and the forefront of their values and encourage students to pursue goals and become successful. The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has a one form-entry. 

EYFS Teacher Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

EYFS Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status or Early Years Teaching Status
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher or an EYFS Teacher
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • Experience working with SEND is desirable
