Job Description
As a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, Step Teachers have long standing relationships with schools and academy trusts across the county; we are currently looking for a Year 2 Class Teacher. This Year 2 Class Teacher role is at a Primary School in Potters Bar and is a full time position starting in September 2024. Currently the school are looking for a Year 2 Class Teacher for 1 academic term, but there is the potential for this to be extended.
The position is at a two form entry school, rated “Good” by OFSTED and prides itself on offering a dynamic and engaging environment for its students. Friendship is at the core of the school’s values and they value and advocate positivity for every student.
Year 2 Class Teacher Role:
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum at Key Stage 1
- Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
- Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
- Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
- Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
Year 2 Class Teacher Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teaching Status
- Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- Experience working with SEND is desirable
