JWR is excited to be working with a leading luxury hotel in Bath, looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced professional to join their team as Events Manager.
As Events Manager, you will play a critical role in driving and significantly increasing revenues for all aspects of reservations & event sales, focusing on maximising sales with accommodation and event revenue opportunities.

Job description and required skills

Reporting to the General Manager and Revenue Manager, as Events Manager you will tasked with continuing to maintain and build on, existing client relationships whilst also being responsible for targeting new business and creating sales activity plans in order to deliver and exceed budgeted targets.

As Events Manager, you will need to be a strong net worker with a good knowledge and understanding of the market and local area. You will visit potential clients as well as showing them around the facilities and work closely with all departments within the hotel.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Handling and managing all conference and special event inquiries.
  • Collaborating with relevant departments to ensure successful event implementation.
  • Recording and following up on all incoming inquiries to achieve high conversion rates.
  • Responding promptly and clearly to sales leads to capture every revenue opportunity.
  • Maximising revenue for each event by up-selling products.
  • Issuing accurate weekly Function Sheets to the operations team based on client directives.
  • Ensuring that every client with a confirmed booking has a signed Event Contract.
  • Promoting a professional image through impeccable presentation and attire.
  • Conducting professional show-rounds, including walk-in appointments and participating in FAM Trips.
  • Delivering events on time and within budget, exceeding client expectations.
  • Providing leadership, motivation, direction, and support to your team.
