Smile Education, Northwest is currently recruiting for a full-time Behavioural Pastoral role for a secondary school based in Stockport and the nearby areas in Davenport, Heaton Moor, and Reddish.

What does the role involve?  
  • Providing care to pupils, ensuring their safety, and dealing with any problems the pupils may have.
  • Liaising with other staff members, parents/guardians, and professionals
  • Following GDPR & Safeguarding protocol
  • Resilient and instinctive approach in meeting students’ needs
  • Use behaviour management strategies effectively and be able to work using your own initiative while following policies and procedures.
  • High level of flexibility and will welcome the opportunity to work in different settings with different approaches to engage the students.

What do you need?

  • A valid education degree
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum
  • Able and willing to travel to the area
  • 2 education-based references
  • A passion for teaching/supporting.
  • Good approach to behaviour management
  • A determined, hard-working attitude

Immediate start is available.

The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year.
