PE Teachers near Ipswich, Suffolk WE NEED YOU!! We are looking for an engaging PE Teacher to join a dedicated team in an SEN School located in Ipswich, Suffolk. The Ipswich, Suffolk SEN School provides education and support for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and Autism.

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, and delivering engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil. The successful candidate must have experience teaching PE to learners with SEND. The Ideal PE Teacher must also be able to create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes the wellbeing of all pupils.

This is a full-time, temp to perm position in Ipswich, Suffolk starting after half term.
 
The salary is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.

As a PE Teacher (SEN) your responsibilities will include: 
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons for pupils with SEMH and/or Autism
  • Be committed to working towards the pupil’s progress both academically and emotionally.
  • Work with parents and carers to ensure the pupil’s academic journey is a positive experience.
  • Must be strong in your specialist field of PE
  • Working as part of a whole school team
  • Build a good working relationship with classroom and pupil support staff.
 
We are keen to speak to people about this PE Teacher (SEN) role with the following skills and experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and or relevant experience
  • Experience in supporting learners with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism
  • Experience in supporting pupils in a specialist provision would be ideal but we are also keen to hear from mainstream teachers looking to move to an SEN setting
  • The successful PE Teacher must share the school’s ethos of working as a whole school team to ensure all the pupil’s academic and emotional needs are met
  • Have a neutering approach to Teaching primary aged learners with SEND
