Job Description

You've got a genuine interest in accountancy, probably a bit of practical experience and looking for an environment where you can be taught to manage a busy purchase ledger.

It would need to be a move to a company where you're respected, allowed autonomy in your work and have a great boss.

It's this job. We're not kidding.

Handling a busy purchase ledger, doing the bulk of a ledger that creates £1m of payments per month, helped by technology to make bulk payments, and the capacity to learn other jobs within the wider small accounts team.

Expense processing is also your responsibility. You'll be someone the accounts department can rely upon and, in turn, you'll be highly valued, and appreciated and can expect enjoyment in your work.

Day to day, you'll liaise with the ledger manager when you need help or guidance, someone who is not hung up about accountancy qualifications but wants someone hard-working, dedicated and willing to learn new skills.

Your new employer is a secure, profitable business run, as much for its staff as its customers and rewards people. So you can expect to be part of a generous profit share scheme, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (saving 5 days for Christmas close) and a statutory pension scheme which, if you contribute to, you also get death in service 5 x salary.

It's 100% office-based because it works well for the team and, let's face it, you'll be learning quite a bit to start and being with your teammates is the best way to learn.

There's free parking next door to the building and they're in a town centre location so public transport is available.

Hours are 9 am to 5 pm, with a 30-minute break from Monday to Thursday, and an hour on Friday. And they're located close to lots of amenities so grabbing a bite at lunchtime is not going to be a problem.

Apply now to avoid disappointment.
