We are currently seeking an Attendance Welfare Officer to join our dynamic team at a prestigious school in Worcester. Working closely with school staff, pupils, parents, and carers, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of attendance excellence and improving punctuality.

As an Attendance Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for:
  • Promoting high levels of attendance and improving punctuality among students.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation related to school attendance.
  • Utilising your experience and understanding of the education or local authority system.
  • Working with young people of secondary school age, particularly in deprived scion-economic areas.
  • Demonstrating compassion, resilience, and determination in your role.
  • Communicating effectively and building respectful and professional relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and awareness of legislation pertaining to school attendance.
  • Experience and understanding of the education or local authority system.
  • Experience working with young people of secondary school age, especially in deprived socio-economic areas.
  • Compassionate, caring, resilient, and determined attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop respectful and professional relationships.
Additional Details:

This position requires availability Monday to Friday, with some flexibility regarding hours if necessary.
