We are seeking a fully qualified Electrical Engineering Manger with a strong background in large-scale, high-volume manufacturing, ideally in consumer goods or wood manufacturing, to lead our dynamic team of 40+ engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and lead a diverse team of 40+ engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, emphasising a continuous improvement approach.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilise your electrical engineering background to guide the team in solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Ensure engineering solutions meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Manufacturing Environment:

  • Oversee engineering activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, particularly in consumer goods or wood manufacturing.
  • Apply up-to-date knowledge of LEAN, equipment, and technology to enhance operational efficiency.

Operational Excellence:

  • Implement LEAN methodologies to optimise engineering processes, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.
  • Leverage your knowledge of PLCs & Controls to ensure effective control systems in manufacturing operations.

Development and Transformation:

  • Demonstrate a foundation in the development of people, performance, and transformational change.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among engineering teams, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer with a background in large-scale, high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally in consumer goods or wood manufacturing.
  • Essential knowledge of PLCs & Controls.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of LEAN methodologies, equipment, and technology.
  • Strong foundation in the development of people, performance, and transformational change.
  • Commitment to teamwork and a continuous improvement approach.
