JWR is seeking a dedicated Junior Sous Chef to join a popular destination Pub in Devon with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and a menu that celebrates both tradition and creativity

The Role:
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the talented culinary team to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensuring consistent quality in all food produced.
  • Supporting the development of seasonal menus.
  • Maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
  • A passion for culinary excellence and creativity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
