Front Desk Garage Manager Vacancy - Basingstoke!
  • Up To £40,000 Basic Salary + Bonus (£12,000 +)
  • Monday To Friday 7.30am - 5pm Only
  • No Weekends!
  • Independent Garage / Service Centre Environment
  • 4 Weeks Holiday + Bank Holidays
Our client, an independent garage based in Basingstoke are currently looking to hire an experienced Front Desk Garage Manager to join their team and help drive the business forward!

They are seeking Automotive Managers with experience within the aftersales market, with strong technical knowledge and the ability to liaise effectively with customers, providing a high level of customer service.

Duties of an Front Desk Garage Manager with our client:
  • Lead the team acting as the central person with regards to controlling the flow of jobs through the workshop.
  • Monitoring, planning, and progressing work for each team member.
  • Identify upselling opportunities organising with service advisors to complete sales leads.
  • Prepare vehicles and paperwork for handover.
  • Ensuring work rate is efficient and monthly KPI targets are being achieved.
  • Report on a weekly/monthly basis on gross profit margins and set financial. generate and continuously improve the workshops’ ability to increase and/or exceed set targets.
  • Install a positive customer service approach across the team,
  • Deal with customer complaints/queries.
  • Day to day management of employees to ensure KPIs and agreed financial targets are met.
  • Monitor spending on stock/consumables and control levels and costs of purchases.
  • Order of parts required for all jobs, ensuring parts are correct and they have been labelled clearly with vehicle registration upon arrival.
What our client expects of their Front Desk Garage Manager:
  • Previous experience as a Garage Manager 
  • Strong automotive technical knowledge.
  • English proficiency is a must in both verbal and written ability.
  • Previous experience with a leadership role.
  • Excellent customer service levels.
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication with senior management and employees.
  • Able to manage and deliver KPIs.
  • Full UK Driving Licence. – Preferably Clean.
