is currently recruiting for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager for one of Cornwall's leading Resorts

As Food & Beverage Manager, you will support the Resort & Operations Director and undertake a wide range of operational responsibilities across the department, requiring a very hands on approach.

This is a great opportunity for an established Food and Beverage Manager looking to continue to progress and develop their career in hotel operations.

You will recruit, train and develop your team to deliver high standards of service and F&B products for all guests and maintain efficiency in the running of the department whilst always aiming for an increase in standards, profitability, sales and staff development across all F&B outlets, including 2 fantastic restaurants, bar and all banqueting & events.

Required Skills:

  • Previous operational experience within a similar sized 4/5* property.
  • Recruit, motivate, train, develop and inspire your team.

  • Pro-active and good at problem solving, with the ability to manage staff ratios and deliver consistent standards.
  • Demonstrate an extremely high capability of planning, directing and executing through other large events, conferences occasion dinners & weddings.
  • Continually drive forward improvements in products and services.
  • Ensures the departmental budgeted revenues and profits are achieved within the Bar and Restaurant, including banqueting and events.
  • To monitor all departmental costs and recommend appropriate measures to control them.
  • To provide detailed sales, wages and cost forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • To be responsible for all F&B stocktaking, producing detailed monthly results, creating action plans for any stock discrepancies.
  • To take full responsibility for all Health and Safety programmes, legal aspects and training within the department.
  • To monitor service and food and beverage quality standards and to work with the Head Chef to take corrective action where necessary.
