Quality Assurance Technician


£28,604.44 per annum

Two shift rotational system, Monday – Friday Am & Pm shift.

Our client is a leader in Food Manufacturing industry dedicated to delivering high-quality products that meet stringent standards. Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Site Step Process: Oversee intake to outload through rigorous checks and auditing.
  • Documentation Control: QA approval of documentation, line clearing, and process deviations.
  • Liaison: Work with technical and production departments to ensure projects meet site, customer, and national standards.
  • Corrective Actions: Follow through on corrective actions related to hold or positive release items/issues.
  • GMP Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
  • Standards Adherence: Ensure procedures and factory standards are followed.
  • Handover: Provide thorough handovers to colleagues.
  • Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues and inform technical and operational functions.
  • Supplier Audits: Assist with supplier audits as required.
  • Traceability: Conduct site traceability exercises, as necessary.
  • Routine Analysis: Perform routine analysis of raw materials, packaging, finished products, and processes.
  • Testing: Conduct manual and automated testing, recording results, and highlighting issues.
  • KPI Monitoring: Oversee food safety, legality, and quality standards on site.

Skills and Experience


  • Quality Assurance Expertise: Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards with 2-3 years of QA experience in food manufacturing.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate inspection, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance and product quality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with laboratory equipment, automated/manual testing, and relevant software.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective issue identification, analysis, and resolution.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to liaise with technical and production teams and train staff.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and maintain detailed records and documentation.
