Step Teachers is currently partnering with a Primary School in Cambridge to hire a short-term part-time Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or higher) to join their dynamic Primary School in Cambridge to start in September 2024.

This a "Good" Ofstead-rated school where in the early years, children receive a strong foundation for school life. Thoughtfully designed activities support their skill development, while staff foster a nurturing and secure learning environment.

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • As a Teaching Assistant, you must maintain a well-organized classroom with accessible resources as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members in the classroom and across the school.
  • Demonstrate the ability to support students and encourage their progression.
  • Willingly adhere to the school's policies and implement them effectively.


  • Essential recent experience working in a Primary school as a Teaching Assistant.
  • As a Teaching Assistant, you would need a good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Possession of a recognized HLTA qualification and relevant experience for an HLTA role.
  • Consideration for applicants with a Level 2/3 certificate.
