Step Teachers are currently partnering with a Primary School in Hoddesdon to hire a short-term part-time Teaching Assistant. We seek a skilled Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant to be appointed as a Learning Support Assistant, Working in Key Stage 1 to join their dynamic Primary School in Hoddesdon starting in September 2024.This a "Good" Instead-rated school where they go the extra mile in ensuring the needs of the whole child and their families are met, including mental health and wellbeing.

Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant Role:

  • As a Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant, you must maintain a well-organized classroom with accessible resources as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members in the classroom and across the school.
  • Demonstrate the ability to support students and encourage their progression.
  • Willingly adhere to the school's policies and implement them effectively.

 Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Essential recent experience working in a Primary school as a Teaching Assistant.
  • As a Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant, you would need a good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Possession of a recognized HLTA qualification and relevant experience for an HLTA role.
  • Consideration for applicants with a Level 2/3 certificate.
  • Learning Support Assistant to work in Key Stage 1.
