Audit and Accounts Manager - Luton Up to £63K

Opportunity for an ACA / ACCA qualified and ambitious Senior / Manager with audit and accounts experience. The firm can consider an experienced senior looking for a step up to management or an experienced manager looking for a fresh challenge.

This is an excellent and rare opportunity to join a busy, modern and expanding independent firm that can provide exposure to all the areas of  accounts, audit, tax and business advisory work.

The role does require audit experience and the ability to lead and complete audits for a range of SME businesses typically found with an independent firm of accountants.

Job Summary

  • Overseeing a client portfolio which will range in size from £250K - £400K with responsibility for billing and WIP management.
  • Responsible for client onboarding and engagement ensuring client relationships are maintained and developed.
  • Dealing with the audit requirements of clients from start to finish. The audit work will involve completion of the audit work at clients, with mentoring of junior staff and review of audit files for Director sign off.
  • Accounts preparation and compliance dealing with the year end accounts and management accounts and advisory requirements for small businesses.
  • The client base is typical of an independent firm providing varied exposure to Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, including drafting tax computations for limited companies.
  • Ensuring corporate and personal tax compliance requirements are met
  • On-site software queries and training to clients where necessary and generally assist clients by helping to develop and improve their systems.
  • Training junior members of staff and providing guidance to other members of staff where needed

The initial starting package will depend on current level of experience and ability which is reflected in the advertised salary range.
