Our client, a reputable technical engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Design Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate should have experience across various sectors such as road and rail, industrial, residential, commercial, and leisure developments.
In this role, you will be responsible for civil design work related to foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and other geotechnical elements. You will also play a key role in assessing existing structures and designing remedial measures when necessary. Collaboration with the civil project team to incorporate geotechnical requirements into project delivery is essential. Additionally, you will oversee team performance, supervise staff, and have ample opportunities for career growth within the team's successful and expanding environment.

Job Requirements
- Typically, 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record in geotechnical design work and experience across a range of projects, ideally gained within a consulting environment.
- Chartered, Incorporated or operating at this level.
- Proficient in geotechnical FEM software such as FREW, ALP, PILE, SLOPE and PDisp or similar
- Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations.
