Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision, planning, and execution of a comprehensive programme of planned highway maintenance and improvement works.
- Overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to assess project requirements and devise effective solutions.
- Providing technical expertise in highway maintenance design and implementation.
- Conducting inspections, assessing pavement conditions, and recommending appropriate maintenance strategies.
- Managing budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and communicating project progress to relevant parties.
- Extensive experience in highway maintenance, including site supervision and project management.
- Proficiency in planning and executing programmes of planned maintenance and improvement works, particularly in carriageway and footway resurfacing/reconstruction.
- Previous experience working within Local Authority environments, with a solid understanding of Highways Maintenance design standards and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field.
