Job Description

Senior Control, Command, and Signalling (CCS) Systems Engineer with specialised expertise in the European Train Control System (ETCS) and Automatic Train Operation (ATO). This role involves significant involvement in the specification and impending award of CCS contracts. As a permanent position, it offers a unique opportunity, to stay at the core of a major UK project, covering both design and build, for many years ahead.

The position requires comprehensive knowledge of CCS, specifically ETCS level 2, coupled with robust technical and leadership capabilities. Experience in traffic management and rail control systems is essential. Candidates with Chartered Engineer status will be given preference.

Responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions, developing technical standards and specifications, and supporting technical assurance within the CCS discipline. The role also involves managing technical risks, providing subject matter expertise, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards, and managing interfaces between CCS and other infrastructure systems.

 
It's a permanent package, the mid point being £53K plus 20% so really £64,000 plus benefits for Birmingham, OR for London the Mid Point being 60.5 plus 20% to £73,000 equivalent.  The rates above being low to high...including the 20%
 
The role can be based in London, or indeed Birmingham, with Hybrid work.
